Dave competed in his 37th National Championship Air Races in Reno finishing 4th in Sport Class Silver with a speed of 265 mph. This marked his 250th race, more than any pilot in the history of air racing. Dave was awarded the Lee Behel Memorial Award by the class for his contributions to air racing.
